New mountaineering expedition to the Himalaya
| ACKU announced that they have re-started to organize the new expedition
to un-climed area of the Himaraya, Kangri Gsrpo East Mountains. July 2007 |
Ruoni (若尼峰 6805ｍ）
She stands on the south bank of Ata Glacier. ACKU had attempted to climb
the highest peak of Ruoni in the area ,in 2003.
| Kangri Garpo Expedition 2007 and 2008 |
ACKU and the Mountaineering Association of China University of Geosciences
had agreed to form the new joint expedition to the Himalaya, Kangri Garpo
Mountains, and signed on the letter of understanding that indicates 2007
joint reconnaissance and 2008 climbing one of the Ata Three Sisters who
are closely standing on the ridge of the glacier.
